Media design for fire-resilient communities
How can media be designed to encourage community action in response to bushfire risk?
The bushfires of 2019-20 highlighted the need to build resilience within Australian communities and develop communications and engagement programs that enable residents to think about and respond to natural disasters.
This project focuses on the mountain communities of Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo, north-west of Brisbane, which are at risk of very high levels of bushfire intensity.
Using a design-led research approach researchers will work with the community to explore opportunities for communication and action.
