The UQ-UI Bilateral Research Forum "Communication for Development and Social Change: Diverse Applications, One Goal" was held on Thursday 12 August 2021.
The initiative featured speakers from both UQ (The University of Queensland) and UI (Universitas Indonesia [University of Indonesia]). Speakers included HDR candidates associated with the Centre for Communication and Social Change (CfCSC), Doreen Busolo, Daniel Cruz , and Debashish Dev. CfCSC Director Elske van de Fliert was one of the facilitators. The event included two sub-themes ("Communication and the SDGs" and "Media and Social Change").
Presenter Rocky Prasetyo Jati, a broadcaster, Communication Studies Program facilitator, and PhD candidate at UI has since written an article "Exploring diverse applications for one goal: achieve the Sustainable Development Goals" about the event for UQ's Global Partnership.
