Public Diplomacy

The Centre has been identified to participate in the delivery/potential delivery of several projects that have strong links with public diplomacy. Of these, our leadership in the Peatland community Engagement and Transdisciplinary Learning – Indonesia (PEATLI) is a current example.

Community relations

Through the Practicum course of the Master program, the Centre has facilitated strong engagement with various governmental, non-governmental and community entities.

Our HDR candidates participate in numerous university associations and activities including 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competitions and community events, such as UQ’s successful 2019 Guinness World Record Attempt for the World’s Largest Mindfulness Lesson (Single Venue). Our students also engage with community projects such as the Pasifika Wellbeing Network and Jeays Street Red Cross Community Centre.
